Diver Down online game is a stealth platformer where the trick is not jumping over things but sinking into them. Your little diver can plunge into any solid surface and travel inside the floor or a wall, which is how you slip past the lights that guard every route. The Diver Down unblocked game was made by Escada Games with Sucraiso for Godot Wild Jam 2, whose theme was Hidden Within, and the browser build is the same 20-stage set, opening on Stage 1: First Steps.
Stages are single screens with a door to reach. Early ones teach the dive, later ones put lights across the only path and make you time a dive and a resurface between beams. WASD or the arrows move, Z or Space jumps, X or Shift dives, and M mutes the chiptune. Lights are the only hazard. Get caught in one and the stage starts over.
It is a Godot export, so it loads fast but can run at a low frame rate on a weak machine. Puzzle games collects more single-screen thinking, and OvO is where to go for pure precision jumping.
Diver Down FAQ
What does the dive do in Diver Down?
It lets the diver sink into any solid block and move inside it. Walls and floors become hiding places and shortcuts, and it is the only way past most of the lights.
How much of Diver Down is there to play?
Twenty stages, each one screen wide. A full run is well under an hour, and the jam origin shows in how quickly the ideas escalate.
Which keys jump and dive in Diver Down?
Jump is Z, C, J or Space, dive is X, K or Shift, and you move with WASD or the arrows. Enter pauses and M mutes.
Was Diver Down built in Godot?
Yes, with Godot 3.0 for Godot Wild Jam 2 in 2018. The theme was Hidden Within, which is where the idea of hiding inside walls came from.
